Day 2 - New Friends

I wandered around a lot on my own today. I guess humans have a lot of things to do to take care of themselves. Oh well. I did end up finding a blood bath, it helped make me stronger, and with the bar serving up fresh blood, and the blood bath, I decided I would try to stop biting humans, it turned out to be a lot harder than I thought....

When I did end up running back into Suz, the smell of her blood overcame me, I attacked her out of nowhere, biting into her. I know she had to have been scared, I think the fact that she kept trying to run proved that. We stopped by the Den, I apologized and healed her a bit, I didn't want to hurt her, but my instincts were strong, and I couldn't help myself sometimes.

We heard a chatter through the walls, if there's one thing I've come to learn in Toxian City is that you never wander around into the Den, the werewolves were there on the other side, and as I snuck over to a window I could see them there, all of them, the disgusting dogs that they are standing around grinning amongst each other.

I had to stop Suz from going in, her sense of humour will eventually end up getting her killed. And as I looked through the window I saw him, and my rage began to build up inside of me, the one that yesterday had humiliated me, the one that had run me off like a dog, when it should have been the other way around. But things would change soon, and I would get my revenge, he can count on that much.

We left after a while, wandering down the streets, exploring around the church and eventually heading back to the bar.

There were two other humans in front of the bar, and my mouth began to water as I passed them by, one of them sat on the bench, not seeming to pay much mind to anything, while the other watched me as I walked, so I gave him a grin before passing by.

"What were you grinning at blood feeder?"

I stopped in my tracks and looked behind me, there he was standing there, his swords unsheathed as he looked at me with a stupid look on his face.

"You smell good is all." I smiled at him.

"Maybe if you shower yourself i wont smell so good then."

I laughed at him and turned back to continue down the street. "Watch your mouth human, before you become my next meal."

"Or maybe you'll become my next hunted." I heard him say as I felt a slash at my back, turning around furiously I jumped to attack him, but he continued to slash wildly, missing me and hitting Suz, Next thing I knew she was laying on the street unconscious, I knew then that this man was crazy, so I took off running, turning the corner of the bar where the other human had been sitting, I stood by the wall a moment before turning back to look, wondering why he hadn't been chasing me, I noticed the two humans going after each other. But the larger man was crazy, and the other didn't really have a chance. He struck him down, then came after me, leaving me barely alive I dragged myself over to the other man, healing him so he could at least stand.

Suz joined us soon, and the three of us stood there, looking at this crazy man, his eyes twitching and his arm fidgeting.

"Are you a doctor? I don't like doctors." He looked over to me, and I shook my head in confusion.

He then proceeded to bow to the other human standing near us.

"When you go chasing after vampires. Don't hurt the humans standing in the way." The quiet man said as he placed his gun back onto the holster attached to his leg.

"I kill what I see when I go on my fit. I'm mentally, mentally.... ummm. Don't worry about it." He looked around quickly before staring back at me.

I simply rolled my eyes at him.

The man next to us let out a quiet sigh and looked behind him, calling a priest over to heal us. "I think these girls need some help."

The priest nodded her head and proceeded to heal us, looking back to the man standing in front of her. "Looks like you could use some help as well..."

But he shrugged and simply smiled. "Guess so."

We thanked her and I threw the crazy man a glare, more determined now than ever to find a weapon. "I suggest you leave." He said to me, drawing his weapons once again.

The priest glared at him. "And I suggest YOU leave now."

"Are you a doctor?" He asked with a twitch in his eye.

"Yes." she replied. "This towns one and only."

The man shook his head, taking a blade and running it across his tongue. "Well then I won't leave, I don't like doctors."

"I highly advise you vacate immediately." She took a step forward.

I looked at them and sighed, turning to Suz, letting her know I was going to sit in a dark place for a while, I needed to get my strength back.

I sat alone, hy head buried in my knees as I thought about everything that had happened. I needed to find a weapon, I needed to be stronger. I felt bad for a moment about leaving Suz, but the other human seemed like he would take care of her all right, so the worry left my mind soon enough.

I stood up and decided to take a walk down to the beach, I ran there, not wanting to get into a confrontation with anybody. And was surprised to see Suz there standing with the man we had met earlier. I walked up to them and smiled at her, but his blood smelled so new, he had never been bitten before, and I couldn't control my hunger, I jumped on him and bit into him.

He grabbed me and threw me down onto the sand, glaring at me as I wiped the blood from my mouth. i smiled at him, licking my lips. "You taste good."

He took the gun from it's holster and held it out to me.

"You wouldn't." I scowled at him. But before I had a chance to run he hit me several times, the bullets stunning me as I flew onto the ground. I lay there a moment, barely breathing as he came to stand over me. "You asshole!" I growled at him.

"Don't bite me again, I won't leave you alive next time." He grinned as he proceeded to heal me.

But the wounds had left me hungry again, I looked at Suz and grabbed her, biting into her neck again, but the man now looked furious, he tossed me aside and shot at me again, leaving me barely alive, I lay there and cursed at him under my breath.

I pulled myself up as I saw a familiar figure in the distance, and gathering up enough energy I shouted. "Cmere Puppy!"

I looked up at suz and saw her sigh as the werewolf ran toward me, kicking sand up on me as he stopped. "You call me as if I were your pet?" He shook his head at me.

"I forgot your name." I said weakly as I sat up straighter, my wounds beginning to heal faster.

"Monky." He said to me, tilting his head to the side. "Hey Suz." He said with a sniff in the air, licking his lips. "You smell delicious as ever."

"What happened to you?" He said as he looked at my wounds.

"This man here thought it would be funny to shoot me down." I pointed to him as he smirked at me.

Monky shook his head and stood up straight, "What a cruel man you are."

"Jensen..." he said his name. "And I don't like vampires, particularly ones that jump on me and bite me."

Monky threw his head back and laughed loudly. "So Lia, was it feeding time?"

I smiled, feeling good enough to stand now. "He smelled really good, tasted even better."

Monky sniffed the air in Jensen's direction. "Ya know us lycans feast upon your race as well but by my tastes you smell spoiled i guess the blood suckers are less picky about what they eat"

Jensen laughed, shaking his head. "Really I had heard it was the other way around..."

Monky tilted his head curiously, "That we were the ones with the bad palettes, eh? Well then, care to spar?"

Suz grew a worried look on her face. "Monky..." She walked between the two men.

Jensen moved to the other side, Monky watching him slowly as he did. "Just making sure she's not in the way." he said.

But the werewolf shook his head. "I've no plans to harm her."

I looked at Suz, "What are you doing?"

"Suz speak up!" Monky yelled.

"Please..." Jensen added.

"Bloody women, always so indecisive", the werewolf shook his head.

I sighed and shook my head as well, "Silly humans."

I watched as Monky walked over to Suz, placing his hand on her shoulder. "What's the deal here?" He asked as he continued to eye Jensen over his shoulder.

"You owe me a debt right?" She said to him.

"That I do."

I groaned and placed my hand over my face, shaking my head.

"You want me not to spar with Jensen?" Monky laughed out loud.

"Yes..." She answered as I let out another groan and a sigh, how could this human be so silly? I must have missed quite a bit while I left her alone, for her to have grown feelings for this man.

"It was to be a friendly spar, I wasn't going to hurt him.... much." He smiled, looking over his shoulder to wink at Jensen. "I think she's sweet on ya." he grinned turning back to face Suz.

I rolled my eyes as I watched her blush, "I think she's more than sweet on him..."

Monky chuckled and turned his attention towards me. "How bad did he get you bat girl?" he asked looking over me. "I don't see much but a scratch here or there."

"No he's not so tough." I laughed, I may have been within an inch of life, but I was better now.

"To be fair.." Jensen said. "She did get all of us nearly killed earlier."

We talked about the events that had happened earlier, and I ended up with the blame, of course. I shook my head and sighed, letting them tell their stories.

"So you 3 are an odd band of friends." Monky said, I had never thought of either of the humans to really be my friends. "Lia you dont mingle amongst your fellow blood suckers?"

"I don't find them very appealing." I said to him with a grin on my face."

"I wouldnt either! those pesky mosquitos gah!" he laughed as he punched my shoulder lightly, but following through to push me over with his arm. "You're ok for a mosquito."

I blinked at him, taking my finger to his arm to poke him a few times. "Well you're all right for a puppy."

I took both my arms and shoved him over, but he caught himself with his arm, and reached over to grab my bicep. "What the hell kind of blood you been feasting on? You don't look capable."

I laughed pulling my arm away and pointed to Suz. "She's got good blood. Only reason I keep her around."

Monky chuckled. "The master and her puppet. Only now the puppet has found herself a boyfriend. Hmm what an interesting trio you are."

I smiled, "Guess I'll have to find myself a new prey."

"Afraid of a human with a gun huh?" He laughed to himself as he took a file out of his pocket and proceeded to grind down the points of his teeth.

We laughed, and sat to talk amongst each other until the night fell, and Jensen left, leaving the three of us there to speak amongst ourselves, I began to feel closer to them, the werewolf, and the humans... I laughed at myself for those silly feelings.

Eventually Monky took off as well, I'm sure he had some howling to do, and Suz and I decided to run down to the Haven.

We passed by a man on a bike, speaking as we did, he woke up to give us a glare, Suz apologized for waking him and began singing him a lullaby, but the man didn't look very amused and she decided to stop, following me into the bar.

There was a werewolf sitting at the far end, she spoke rudely of vampires but I ignored her, not surprised at the animal.

I didn't speak much, Watching the activity out the window, until Suz looked like she was about to fall asleep, I left her to get on home and went to sit on the rooftops, watching the night go by.

Day 1 - A new home.

I ran into Toxia eagerly, the smell of the pollution in the air was thick, the buildings were falling apart, and as I stepped out onto the main street a werewolf ran past, slashing at someone with his claws.

I looked over to my friend, who looked a bit pale, smiling to myself to have a human following me along, I had been thirsty and this blood doll seemed willing enough to trade her blood to me for some protection. Not that I could protect her really, running around weaponless in a new city, I had really no idea what I was doing.

I wiped the blood from my bottom lip, having just drank some of her blood and motioned her down the road, we ended up at a place called "Haven." Which seemed to be busy, people were moving in and out.

"No Fighting." The sign said, so of course it was a place of interest, I kind of neutral grounds for everyone that happened by.

We stood outside for a moment, side by side. I noticed another vampire near me, he looked weak and hungry. Looking over at him, I grinned as he looked back.

"Are you thirsty?" I looked over to my human, and she stared back nervously.

But the man simply shook his head and refused, I shrugged. "Very well, then."

I was amused by the sigh of relief by the human, I smiled to myself and took her arm, leading her inside the bar. We only walked a few steps in before I felt her pull back, I looked at her in surprise as she turned around.

She ran, how dare she? I chased after her, catching her quickly, I glared before she smiled at me. Irritated, I dragged her back inside, demanding her not to run again. She smiled and laughed at me, and I was confused by her actions, how could she seem so well at ease around me, playing jokes and running like a child.

I shielded my eyes as I walked by an angel, the light she was emitting was great, and it pained me as I passed her by and grabbed a seat at the bar, motioning to the human to join. But she wouldn't, instead she took a few steps back, standing near the angel.

"Feel safer by the angel?" I asked with a smirk on my face.

She just laughed and stared at me.

I heard a voice to my left, I turned just slightly to see another vampire sitting there. "This is a neutral zone...nothing to be worried about"

The angel nodded. "No fighting allowed in here.. it's a safe place."

I watched the vampire, holding a large vial filled with blood, my mouth watered a bit. "Ah well..im a bit of a neutral myself.." he said, "politics was never my best traits."

I noticed the angel shoot him a smile before I turned to look toward the window. "interesting.. never met a neutral vampire before.. most of them are crude to the bone."

I smirked at her comment, shaking my head and sitting quietly as the conversation continued, watching the life go about outside the windows, the creatures walking by.

I shot the human an occasional glance, her actions were amusing, she was neither scared nor phased by the company around her.

"Oh by the way my name is Minx. i'm tree hugging ,acid trippin, people lovin angel. That's until you piss me off.. then i turn bible thumper."

I raised my eyebrow at the angel, standing up from the bar as I walked close to the human, smelling the scent of her blood in the air as my mouth began to water, I looked over to the other vampire, curious as to if he felt the same.

"Nice to meet you Minx...just call me Ax.." he said to her.

The angel smiled and let out a small laugh. "Funny i have a wolfy friend name Ax.."

I gave Ax a half smile and shook my head as I saw him glare at the angel. "Great..." He said placing his hand over his face.

I walked to the door, if the human had followed me or not was up to her. I didn't think she would have, nor did she as I walked back out into the streets. I lifted my head and smiled as I watched a human run past, and with one lick to my bottom lip I ran off after her, following close behind as she climbed the stairs, heading for the roof of the building.

She noticed me and stood in her tracks, not saying a word as I crossed to the front of her.
"Hello..." I said with a grin as the wind gusted past us, bringing her scent closer to me, my mouth began to water.

"You're a vampire..." she said taking a step back, the horror became clear on her face as I edged in closer. "Does that mean you're gonna bit me?"

I scrunched my eyebrows and looked at her, letting out a groan as I noticed my human standing at the bottom by the building. I shook my head and rolled my eyes. "I'm not going to bite you..." I told her, as she turned to run.

I jumped down to join the human, but we didn't exchange words, she simply followed me as we continued. Coming across a bloody mess on the ground, it smelled horrible and I looked at her in disgust as we came closer to a man laying on the ground.

I smiled at him as the word "Help." Came over his lips in a whisper, He was a werewolf, I could tell now by the horrible smell of dog in the air.

I didn't like werewolves, I never did. They were horrible disgusting creatures, not to mention had the personality of, well a dumb dog.

"You didn't happen to piss someone off did you?" I took a step forward, his leg was gushing, broken into two. I looked over to the human. "Should we help him?"

She took my arm and pulled me aside, whispering about how she had seen the man run into Haven and steal some alcohol, the bartender and another man ran him down and shot him. I laughed at the story.

I looked to him as his eyes closed briefly, "Well..." I sighed. "We can't just leave him here I guess."

She shrugged and looked at me laughing. "Okay, but you're feeding him!"

I lifted the man a bit, he was very heavy, and I shot the human a look. "Help me out will ya?"
She lifted him up, he didn't help any. The large man was passed out in our arms as we dragged him along, walking toward the hospital.

I stopped as the street split, I had never been to the hospital and was unsure of where I was going, I looked at the human and she shrugged. I took the man and shook him a bit, asking him which way, he told me very weakly which way to go.

We continued on.

I let out a sigh of relief as we turned to see it there. I dropped him on the floor of the emergency room, catching my breath before looking down at him.

"You owe us." I raised my brow at him and looked over to the human, she looked exhausted. I helped him onto a bed nearby and watched him settle in, his wounds looking worse than ever.

"I will kill them like the useless dogs they are." He growled, gripping the sheets on the bed.

I heard the human sigh behind me as I tapped my fingers on the bed, shaking my head at him. "Hopefully, you don't do that and have to have the two of us drag you here again."

He frowned at me, as I looked to him seriously. "Im sorry to have troubled you but i thank you" he looked at the wall, with a glare in his eye. "When im ready to go there again i don't plan on coming back out without his head"

I let out a sigh and crossed my arms over my chest. "Take care of yourself, I don't make it a habit of pulling werewolves around."

He nodded and smirked over to the human next to me. "And you take care... the human I could rip apart if I weren't drunk...."

I saw her eyes open wide as I chuckled.

"It really is a dog eat dog world these days, I owe you one. The both of you. My name is Monky."

I rolled my eyes, "You bet you do puppy dog... Lia."

"Just whistle if you need help i can hear you from within 3 blocks distance."

"Suzanne... or you can call me suz." the human said, it was the first time I had heard her name.

We stood for a moment as he mumbled something, falling asleep.

I motioned to Suz with my hand. "Let's walk."

I stopped outside the hospital, a man all in black stood there, a light surrounding him as I walked closer. I stopped by him as he didn't even seem to notice me. "There's a man in there who needs healed..." I shrugged. "If you feel so inclined..."

I didn't wait for a response, I walked on to join Suz and we continued down the road.

We passed by a couple, I stopped in my tracks as I heard the heavy breathing of the man to my left.

"I smell death." He whispered against the cigarette in his mouth, his arms fidgeting around him.

I looked up at him, watching him take a puff of his cigarette and blowing it into my face before turning around to the woman in front of him, she had a horrible look of fear in her eyes.

He looked to Suz, squinting his eyes at her, I placed my hand on her shoulder and pulled her back a few steps. "This one's mine."

He shot me a glare. "What one is yours?"

I jumped back as he flicked his cigarette at me. "The human is mine."

I smiled to Suz as she stomped on it.

He growled at me. "I dont have any interest in the girl, not that one." he bared his teeth at me as I began to remember why it was exactly I disliked werewolves. "And if i did your not doing a dam thing about it is that understood lick?"

I shook my head and let out a sigh as I glared at him. "I'm sure you've got some kind of growl down in there puppy dog... I don't want any of it."

"Puppy?" He took a step toward me. "Are you insane, or ya been suckin the wrong shit lately?" I watched as he placed his hand over his blade. and I glanced toward the human, Neither of us were armed.

I motioned my hand to the woman in front of him. "As you were."

"Call me a puppy again and i do warn you i will tear you to pieces." He growled at me as his turned his attention back to her.

I felt Suz tug at my shirt as I turned around to walk. "Shouldn't we help her?" She whispered loud enough for me to hear.

I raised my eyebrow at her in surprise, surely she knew we would be nothing for him to crush. "If you wanna run up against the big bad wolf be my guest." I said to her, continuing to walk forward down the street.

"Good, now go, as you should , and next time i should hope you learned some manners leech." I heard him say as I shook my head, looking back only to be sure that Suz was following close, I watched the werewolf tear his shirt off, tilting his head up to the moon and howling.

I groaned as I looked forward and continued on. "Dogs..."

We headed back to the Haven, it seemed the safest place to go after what had just happened, and I wasn't taking the chance of becoming dog kibble any time soon, he would get his eventually. I planned on looking for a weapon, we both needed weapons.

Soon as we walked in, I smiled. Ax had been sitting there and I was relieved to see a familiar face, someone who was more like me, I was a bit tired of the fleas for the day. I recalled to him the events of the day and we all laughed, having a good time and winding up the night. Eventually the human had to sleep, so I let her. Thinking to myself that Toxia has got a lot more in store for us in the future. And kinda liking it.
