Day 1 - A new home.

I ran into Toxia eagerly, the smell of the pollution in the air was thick, the buildings were falling apart, and as I stepped out onto the main street a werewolf ran past, slashing at someone with his claws.

I looked over to my friend, who looked a bit pale, smiling to myself to have a human following me along, I had been thirsty and this blood doll seemed willing enough to trade her blood to me for some protection. Not that I could protect her really, running around weaponless in a new city, I had really no idea what I was doing.

I wiped the blood from my bottom lip, having just drank some of her blood and motioned her down the road, we ended up at a place called "Haven." Which seemed to be busy, people were moving in and out.

"No Fighting." The sign said, so of course it was a place of interest, I kind of neutral grounds for everyone that happened by.

We stood outside for a moment, side by side. I noticed another vampire near me, he looked weak and hungry. Looking over at him, I grinned as he looked back.

"Are you thirsty?" I looked over to my human, and she stared back nervously.

But the man simply shook his head and refused, I shrugged. "Very well, then."

I was amused by the sigh of relief by the human, I smiled to myself and took her arm, leading her inside the bar. We only walked a few steps in before I felt her pull back, I looked at her in surprise as she turned around.

She ran, how dare she? I chased after her, catching her quickly, I glared before she smiled at me. Irritated, I dragged her back inside, demanding her not to run again. She smiled and laughed at me, and I was confused by her actions, how could she seem so well at ease around me, playing jokes and running like a child.

I shielded my eyes as I walked by an angel, the light she was emitting was great, and it pained me as I passed her by and grabbed a seat at the bar, motioning to the human to join. But she wouldn't, instead she took a few steps back, standing near the angel.

"Feel safer by the angel?" I asked with a smirk on my face.

She just laughed and stared at me.

I heard a voice to my left, I turned just slightly to see another vampire sitting there. "This is a neutral zone...nothing to be worried about"

The angel nodded. "No fighting allowed in here.. it's a safe place."

I watched the vampire, holding a large vial filled with blood, my mouth watered a bit. "Ah well..im a bit of a neutral myself.." he said, "politics was never my best traits."

I noticed the angel shoot him a smile before I turned to look toward the window. "interesting.. never met a neutral vampire before.. most of them are crude to the bone."

I smirked at her comment, shaking my head and sitting quietly as the conversation continued, watching the life go about outside the windows, the creatures walking by.

I shot the human an occasional glance, her actions were amusing, she was neither scared nor phased by the company around her.

"Oh by the way my name is Minx. i'm tree hugging ,acid trippin, people lovin angel. That's until you piss me off.. then i turn bible thumper."

I raised my eyebrow at the angel, standing up from the bar as I walked close to the human, smelling the scent of her blood in the air as my mouth began to water, I looked over to the other vampire, curious as to if he felt the same.

"Nice to meet you Minx...just call me Ax.." he said to her.

The angel smiled and let out a small laugh. "Funny i have a wolfy friend name Ax.."

I gave Ax a half smile and shook my head as I saw him glare at the angel. "Great..." He said placing his hand over his face.

I walked to the door, if the human had followed me or not was up to her. I didn't think she would have, nor did she as I walked back out into the streets. I lifted my head and smiled as I watched a human run past, and with one lick to my bottom lip I ran off after her, following close behind as she climbed the stairs, heading for the roof of the building.

She noticed me and stood in her tracks, not saying a word as I crossed to the front of her.
"Hello..." I said with a grin as the wind gusted past us, bringing her scent closer to me, my mouth began to water.

"You're a vampire..." she said taking a step back, the horror became clear on her face as I edged in closer. "Does that mean you're gonna bit me?"

I scrunched my eyebrows and looked at her, letting out a groan as I noticed my human standing at the bottom by the building. I shook my head and rolled my eyes. "I'm not going to bite you..." I told her, as she turned to run.

I jumped down to join the human, but we didn't exchange words, she simply followed me as we continued. Coming across a bloody mess on the ground, it smelled horrible and I looked at her in disgust as we came closer to a man laying on the ground.

I smiled at him as the word "Help." Came over his lips in a whisper, He was a werewolf, I could tell now by the horrible smell of dog in the air.

I didn't like werewolves, I never did. They were horrible disgusting creatures, not to mention had the personality of, well a dumb dog.

"You didn't happen to piss someone off did you?" I took a step forward, his leg was gushing, broken into two. I looked over to the human. "Should we help him?"

She took my arm and pulled me aside, whispering about how she had seen the man run into Haven and steal some alcohol, the bartender and another man ran him down and shot him. I laughed at the story.

I looked to him as his eyes closed briefly, "Well..." I sighed. "We can't just leave him here I guess."

She shrugged and looked at me laughing. "Okay, but you're feeding him!"

I lifted the man a bit, he was very heavy, and I shot the human a look. "Help me out will ya?"
She lifted him up, he didn't help any. The large man was passed out in our arms as we dragged him along, walking toward the hospital.

I stopped as the street split, I had never been to the hospital and was unsure of where I was going, I looked at the human and she shrugged. I took the man and shook him a bit, asking him which way, he told me very weakly which way to go.

We continued on.

I let out a sigh of relief as we turned to see it there. I dropped him on the floor of the emergency room, catching my breath before looking down at him.

"You owe us." I raised my brow at him and looked over to the human, she looked exhausted. I helped him onto a bed nearby and watched him settle in, his wounds looking worse than ever.

"I will kill them like the useless dogs they are." He growled, gripping the sheets on the bed.

I heard the human sigh behind me as I tapped my fingers on the bed, shaking my head at him. "Hopefully, you don't do that and have to have the two of us drag you here again."

He frowned at me, as I looked to him seriously. "Im sorry to have troubled you but i thank you" he looked at the wall, with a glare in his eye. "When im ready to go there again i don't plan on coming back out without his head"

I let out a sigh and crossed my arms over my chest. "Take care of yourself, I don't make it a habit of pulling werewolves around."

He nodded and smirked over to the human next to me. "And you take care... the human I could rip apart if I weren't drunk...."

I saw her eyes open wide as I chuckled.

"It really is a dog eat dog world these days, I owe you one. The both of you. My name is Monky."

I rolled my eyes, "You bet you do puppy dog... Lia."

"Just whistle if you need help i can hear you from within 3 blocks distance."

"Suzanne... or you can call me suz." the human said, it was the first time I had heard her name.

We stood for a moment as he mumbled something, falling asleep.

I motioned to Suz with my hand. "Let's walk."

I stopped outside the hospital, a man all in black stood there, a light surrounding him as I walked closer. I stopped by him as he didn't even seem to notice me. "There's a man in there who needs healed..." I shrugged. "If you feel so inclined..."

I didn't wait for a response, I walked on to join Suz and we continued down the road.

We passed by a couple, I stopped in my tracks as I heard the heavy breathing of the man to my left.

"I smell death." He whispered against the cigarette in his mouth, his arms fidgeting around him.

I looked up at him, watching him take a puff of his cigarette and blowing it into my face before turning around to the woman in front of him, she had a horrible look of fear in her eyes.

He looked to Suz, squinting his eyes at her, I placed my hand on her shoulder and pulled her back a few steps. "This one's mine."

He shot me a glare. "What one is yours?"

I jumped back as he flicked his cigarette at me. "The human is mine."

I smiled to Suz as she stomped on it.

He growled at me. "I dont have any interest in the girl, not that one." he bared his teeth at me as I began to remember why it was exactly I disliked werewolves. "And if i did your not doing a dam thing about it is that understood lick?"

I shook my head and let out a sigh as I glared at him. "I'm sure you've got some kind of growl down in there puppy dog... I don't want any of it."

"Puppy?" He took a step toward me. "Are you insane, or ya been suckin the wrong shit lately?" I watched as he placed his hand over his blade. and I glanced toward the human, Neither of us were armed.

I motioned my hand to the woman in front of him. "As you were."

"Call me a puppy again and i do warn you i will tear you to pieces." He growled at me as his turned his attention back to her.

I felt Suz tug at my shirt as I turned around to walk. "Shouldn't we help her?" She whispered loud enough for me to hear.

I raised my eyebrow at her in surprise, surely she knew we would be nothing for him to crush. "If you wanna run up against the big bad wolf be my guest." I said to her, continuing to walk forward down the street.

"Good, now go, as you should , and next time i should hope you learned some manners leech." I heard him say as I shook my head, looking back only to be sure that Suz was following close, I watched the werewolf tear his shirt off, tilting his head up to the moon and howling.

I groaned as I looked forward and continued on. "Dogs..."

We headed back to the Haven, it seemed the safest place to go after what had just happened, and I wasn't taking the chance of becoming dog kibble any time soon, he would get his eventually. I planned on looking for a weapon, we both needed weapons.

Soon as we walked in, I smiled. Ax had been sitting there and I was relieved to see a familiar face, someone who was more like me, I was a bit tired of the fleas for the day. I recalled to him the events of the day and we all laughed, having a good time and winding up the night. Eventually the human had to sleep, so I let her. Thinking to myself that Toxia has got a lot more in store for us in the future. And kinda liking it.
